Oh, and we’ve been publishing! Nearly every Friday since May we’ve posted fine, new, fantastical fiction online. I’m thrilled by each and every one of them, but here are a few in particular that I’d commend to your attention:
“Watching Over Me,” by Galen David Bunting — a weird angel story … look, there are plenty of angel stories, and too many are “#hashtag-blessed” groaners, and we don’t. But this one … it’s a weird, weird angel story:
“Secret Histories of Central Park,” by Claire J. Bateman: This one’s a marvelous and strange little urban fantasy …
“The Blood Tree,” by Aimee Parkison — Marinate yourself in this far-out tale of ecocide, plant seduction and human metamorphosis …
“String of Hearts,” by Lisa Amico Kristel — A very dark fantasy/horror story of a school-bullying victim’s dire life choices …
“Pussy Money,” by Sepideh Saremi — A bitter satire of wealth, body commerce, and personal compromise …
“Master of Birds,” by E.P. La Brecque — Please revel in this pitch-perfect fairy tale of old Byzantium, right out of an ancient book found at the back of a forgotten Medieval library:
